A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has gone beyond more than one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as news eu taxonomy “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their impact on health and society.
Approximately hundreds of volunteers across the country are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a understandable way.
The initiative forms part of Scientology-supported social betterment activities, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
